Data Collection and Analysis

The approach you choose to analyse your data depends on the study objectives, the study design, and the availability of time, money, and personnel.

In deciding on the best way to collect data, it is important to consider whether the study is intended to produce quantitative, numerical findings or to produce qualitative, descriptive information.

Although the data analysis plan is usually located near the end of a proposal, you must know which analyses you plan to perform early in the design phase of any study.
